A new doggie boutique, Hounds Around Town, will quietly open this weekend in Whitefish Bay, 330 E. Silver Spring Dr. The shop will carry numerous brands of natural and organic dog and cat food -- including Milwaukee's Companion Natural Pet Food -- as well as a bakery, dog bar, toys and supplies.
"The recent pet food recall brought to light the importance of buying high quality food produced with ingredients from reputable sources," says owner Lisa Peterson. Peterson, a lifelong dog lover, is the caregiver of a golden retriever and Bernese mountain gog.
"I try to provide the best possible products for the health and well-being of my dogs and by opening this pet boutique and bakery. I hope to help others do the same," says Peterson.
