The Humboldt Park Beer Garden, 3000 S. Howell Ave., is making strides toward positioning itself as Milwaukee’s craft beer garden.

Beginning this summer, the beer garden has begun featuring seven rotating taps from Wisconsin breweries, including include Lakefront Brewery, Sprecher Brewery, Milwaukee Brewing Co., Potosi Brewing, Lake Louie Brewing, Ale Asylum, Wisconsin Brewing Co. and St. Francis Brewery.

Beginning on Friday, Aug. 1, it’ll also host a series of tap takeovers – during which a featured brewery will take over multiple tap lines at the beer garden, showcasing some of their best beers and giving customers a chance to interact with brewery representatives.

Jim Klisch of Lakefront Brewery will help the beer garden kickoff the very first tap takeover series on Friday, Aug. 21.

Aug. 27: Pecatonica Beer Company
Sept. 3: MobCraft Beer
Sept. 18: Ale Asylum
Sept. 25: Sprecher Brewing Company

The beer garden will host an Oktoberfest celebration on Sept. 24 featuring live music and celebratory keg tapping.

"We are excited to have some of the great breweries of Wisconsin on tap at our beer garden," says Nick Dillon, Operations Manager of St. Francis Brewery & Restaurant. "And we look forward to giving everyone an opportunity to drink these locally brewed beers outside at one of the greatest parks in Milwaukee!"

In addition to the beer selection, Humboldt Park Beer Garden also features local foods from Milwaukee Pizza Company, Milwaukee Pretzel Company, Babe’s Ice Cream, Klement’s Sausages and Hot Dogs and Beer Cheese Soup in a bread bowl from St. Francis Brewery.

The Humboldt Park beer garden opens daily at noon with last call for food or beer at 9:00 p.m. Pig roasts and live polka music are featured every Saturday.
