National Geographic’s “Beyond King Tut” brings a groundbreaking immersive experience to Milwaukee’s Baird Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., from Oct. 13 through Jan. 6, 2024.

This educational journey transports guests back in time to explore the world of Tutankhamun, aka “King Tut.” The exhibit shares new knowledge about the young pharaoh’s life, his family and his role in the ancient world, along with the various deities of ancient Egypt.

The exhibit, which coincides with the 100th anniversary of the tomb's discovery, features nine galleries that combine high-resolution visuals with captivating audio and culminates with two-story tall soaring projections in a 360-degree immersive room.

The finding of King Tut’s tomb is considered one of the greatest archeology discoveries of all time. He was the child king of ancient Egypt from 1333 to 1323 BCE. Today, he is best known for his intact tomb, found by archeologists in 1922.

Tickets to "Beyond King Tut" are going fast and available here.

“Beyond King Tut” hours are Wednesday & Thursday 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibit is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
