Since 1942, Colder’s Furniture, Appliance, and Mattress stores have been locally owned and operated by the Felker family. And now, the historic business is partnering with local celebrity John McGivern to share Colder's story in his signature playful and heartwarming fashion.
After nine seasons on popular travel show "Around the Corner," McGivern premiered his new program, "John McGivern's Main Streets," on the FOX network last month.
Production has already begun on the eight-segment series. Each segment will focus on a different aspect of Colder’s history. McGivern’s guests include members of the Felker family, the Colder’s team and local residents who have been loyal supporters.
“Many family-owned businesses do not make it past the first or second generation. The fact that we are in the third generation is a testament to the Felker brother’s leadership," says Tom Balistreri, Colder’s Vice President of Merchandising.
Molly Snyder started writing and publishing her work at the age 10, when her community newspaper printed her poem, "The Unicorn.” Since then, she's expanded beyond the subject of mythical creatures and written in many different mediums but, nearest and dearest to her heart, thousands of articles for OnMilwaukee.
Molly is a regular contributor to FOX6 News and numerous radio stations as well as the co-host of "Dandelions: A Podcast For Women.” She's received five Milwaukee Press Club Awards, served as the Pfister Narrator and is the Wisconsin State Fair’s Celebrity Cream Puff Eating Champion of 2019.
