Fresh off a performance at Minnesota's Soundset Music Festival in May -- Milwaukee's own DJ and producer Kid Cut Up -- a member of the No Request Sound DJ crew -- launches a new mash-up.

And it's one that takes me -- and likely will take you -- back.

Ice Cube's 1993 track "It Was A Good Day" and Red Hot Chili Peppers' 1992 chart hit "Under The Bridge" collide in Cut Up's "A Good Day Under the Bridge."

The video -- by Alphabang Productions, a company that has worked with Rick Ross, John Legend, Signif, KingHellBastard, Prophetic, Melissa Czarnik and others -- also mashes the videos of those songs.

You can see the video here, and download the track here.

Cut Up has been the sole DJ for the B-Boy/B-Girl battle at  Rhymesayers' Soundset festival, where he also made a guest appearance at DJ Z-trip's afterparty.

You can hear a selection of Kid Cut Up remixes and other works at clubsodanoice.blogspot.com.

Cut Up plays at Hi-Hat Garage every Thursday at 8 p.m. with Steve Marxx.
