Seems there’s yet another thing to look forward to during our Great Milwaukee Summer, and it has everything to do with beer, cheese curds and Wisconsin bratwurst.

Lakefront Brewery recently revealed on Instagram the first card in what we assume will be a full deck of exciting news. The post included deliciously telling hashtags like #foodtruck, #cheesecurds, #friedcheesecurds and #wisconsinbrats ... all welcome items we are more than happy to get behind.

The new food truck is expected to make its debut over Memorial Day weekend on the Lakefront RiverWalk patio.

According to Lakefront Brand Manager Michael Stodola, the idea for the truck was hatched in an effort to relieve the brewery’s kitchen, which sees particular strain during the summer months when the popular patio is filled with eager brewery fans.

Mobile eats

According to Stodola, the Curd Wagon's daily menu is likely to include items like cheese curds, spicy cheese curds, soft pretzels, bratwurst, grilled cheese sandwiches and fish tacos. A cheese curd grilled cheese is also in the works.

Refreshing options for hot summer days will include beer ice cream, beersicles and a range of beverages like maple root beer and a variety of sodas made by Wisco Pop.

But that’s not all. There will also be a breakfast menu featuring items like breakfast burritos, avocado toast, croissant breakfast sandwiches, a leek and parmesan croissant, beignets, coffee and smoothies.

Fridays will showcase a special menu that consists of cod or perch sandwiches, cod tacos, lobster rolls and cheese curds.

The truck, which will be a fixture on the brewery patio, might even show up at other places around town. Where? You’ll just have to wait and see.
