After more than a year away, one of Brew City's most beloved beer traditions is back as Lakefront Brewery announced today that its tours will begin again starting next month.

Beginning on Tuesday, June 1, Lakefront will host tours at 5 and 6:30 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, as well as every hour from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and every hour from noon to 3 p.m. on Sundays. No tours will take place on Fridays.

The tours – a regular winner of the brewery tour category in OnMilwaukee's best of bars reader poll – were shut down on March 13 last year, along with the rest of the brewery's public-facing elements, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While much of the brewery slowly reopened over the past year, the tours remaining locked down – until now.

“We’re finally back!” said Lakefront Brewery’s On-Site Business Manager Dylan Mazurkiewicz, in a release. “Our tours are popular nationwide and have been on hold for too long. We’re thrilled to fire them back up.”

Tours will go up to 20 people maximum, with weekend tours delivering a 45-minute trip through the brewing process and Lakefront history and weekday tours coming in slightly shorter. All tour-goers – save for those with a parent or legal guardian – must be 21 or older. But most important of all: The free beer is back too, as each tour comes with two complimentary 16 oz. pints of beer – one at the beginning and one midway through. Just in case all that hop talk makes you thirsty.

To book your spot on the brewery tour, visit Lakefront Brewery's website. And cheers to another happy (and hoppy) return!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
