After a week of "taking a short pause," due to the Omicron and Delta outbreaks, Lakefront Brewery, 1872 N. Commerce St., reopens its beer hall and returns to normal operating hours today.

Brewery tours continue to remain on hold.

However, according to a social media post, the brewery will shift to enhanced COVID-19 safety procols.

Those protocols are:

"Masks are required, regardless of vaccination status. If you don’t have one, we can supply one for you. Please keep them on unless you are eating or drinking at your table. We’re re-installing our plexiglas shields at service stations and between parties on our tables."

Lakefront says it hopes to bring its popular brewry tours back on Jan. 15.

"We’re taking a look at that this week and will let y’all know what we decide when we do," the post says.

In the meantime, the brewery's Grab & Go operation is up and running and so are the riverside Hop Houses and Bernie's Chalet for private dining.

Lakefront is open Monday-Thursday, 4-9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sunday, 11-5.

Last week, Lakefront announced that it would close until Jan. 2.

"Omicron and Delta transmissions have spiked considerably and we are taking a short pause to determine which additional precautions we will be taking to maximize the safety of our employees and valued guests," the brewery noted in a social post.

"No inside service until we reassess the situation and work to re-establish our prior safety protocols."
