If you went to college in Milwaukee or lived here for a chunk of time, you've probably drank at Landmark Lanes – maybe even in all three of the bars hidden in the eclectic, walk-down watering hole also known as "The Underground City,"  2220 N. Farwell Ave.

Landmark Lanes, which aside from the three separate bars also houses a bowling alley, retro arcade and robust pool and dart scene, turns 95 this week. In its honor, Mayor Cavalier Johnson has declared Monday, Sept. 26 as "Landmark Lanes Day."

The beloved, 24,000-square foot entertainment center opened in 1927 and  will celebrate its 95th Anniversary all week long. Tonight, Mayor Johnson will switch on the lights at 5:30 p.m. to unveil renovations and to read a proclamation.

Here is an excerpt from the Proclamation:

"NOW, THEREFORE, I, CAVALIER JOHNSON, Mayor of the City of Milwaukee, do hereby proclaim Monday, September 26, 2022, to be LANDMARK LANES DAY throughout the City of Milwaukee."

Events throughout the week include a massive game night run by Midwest Gaming Classic, a screening and Big Lebowski-themed party hosted in partnership with Milwaukee Film, a comedy night by Milwaukee Comedy and special firkin tappings by Lakefront Brewery.  Go here for all of the 95th anniversary events.
