Happy senior week, Marquette!

Four years have gone by faster than anyone could have expected, and the end of undergrad feels bittersweet to say the least. Whether you plan to move away or call the Good Land home forever and ever, this week is meant to be spent doing all our favorite Milwaukee activities before we claim our bachelor’s degrees on Sunday.

See if you can check any of these things off your list – and comment with some of your favorite Milwaukee places and activities.

Watch a Lake Michigan sunrise

Living on a great lake is something we truly take for granted. If you haven’t been over to the lakefront to watch the sunrise, I would highly recommend dragging yourself out of bed, brewing some coffee and making your way down to Lake Michigan to see the sun peek out over the water. Bring your friends. It’s truly something.

Close Wolski’s

This classic Milwaukee bar is a must, a simple watering hole with drinks and popcorn and good conversation. Stay until close, and you’ll get a bumper sticker to prove it!

Eat at Real Chili

After you’ve made your way back to campus with your "I Closed Wolski’s" sticker, stop into Real Chili to indulge in Marquette’s timeless late night food destination.

Kayak on the river

The best place to view Milwaukee is on the water, right? Rent some kayaks and spend an afternoon paddling down the river.

Bike the Oak Leaf Trail

Take advantage of the warm weather finally coming our way, and grab your bike – or a Bublr Bike – and ride along the Oak Leaf Trail. Along the way, stop at one of Milwaukee’s beer gardens! Hubbard Park is right along the trail, or pedal on over to Estabrook.

Go to Kopp's

Or wherever your custard fix is, but Kopp's is my personal favorite. Check out the flavor forecast – my personal favorite flavors of the day are grasshopper fudge and tiramisu, so fingers crossed they're on the radar.

Tailgate a Brewers game

Whether you were Milwaukee born and raised or from across the country, I think a little bit of all of us want to say, "This is my Crew." Show your love for the MLB team that also calls this city home, and tailgate a game with some of your friends.

Cheer on the Bucks

Keeping with the successful Milwaukee sports team trend, cheer on the Bucks down at the entertainment block. Whether you are watching at Fiserv Forum, the beer garden, Good City Brewing, The MECCA or any of the other terrific surrounding bars, you are sure to find an exuberant display of Milwaukee pride.

Go on a brewery tour

They don’t call it Brew City for nothing, right? There are numerous brewery tours to pick from, and it’s a great way to both celebrate the city we call home and give ourselves a reward for all our hard work over the past four years.

Write a thank you note to your favorite professor

Professors, mentors, advisors – there are countless people who helped get us to this point. Take a minute to say thanks in a handwritten note. It's great way to show your appreciation, as well as remind yourself just how special the Marquette community is.

Sing karaoke at Murphy’s

It wouldn’t be fair to say goodbye to your university and city without also bidding farewell to your favorite campus bars. Cheers a thank you to Caffrey's for all those mug nights and Wednesday night half-off tabs, then warm up your vocal cords for one last karaoke sesh at Murphy’s.

Thank you Marquette and Milwaukee for the countless learning opportunities, and the people and places that make it feel like home. And congratulations to all the graduates, you survived finals, dorm life, the Polar Vortex and everything in between. Here’s to us, and here’s to our Milwaukee.
