In May, Dick Leinenkugel withdrew from the race for U.S. Senate and endorsed the frontrunner for the Republican nomination, Ron Johnson. Johnson, of course, went on to defeat incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold.
I wonder, though, would Leinenkugel have beaten Feingold, too? Was this an issues race more than a personality profile? Probably.
