Lou Diamond Phillips is the latest cast addition to NBC's one-hour Milwaukee-based pilot currently called "Backyards and Bullets." According to The Hollywood Reporter and other television news sources, Phillips will play the police chief.

Phillips is probably best known for his roles in "La Bamba" and the string of "Young Guns" movies. He's most recently appeared on several episodes of CBS' "Numb3rs" and an episode of USA Network's Psych.

Producers are expected to film this pilot in and around Milwaukee in the coming weeks.
