The coronavirus pandemic has changed our everyday life, but it doesn't need to change who we are. So, in addition to our ongoing coverage of the coronavirus, OnMilwaukee will continue to report on cool, fun, inspiring and strange stories from our city and beyond. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay informed and stay joyful. We're all in this together. #InThisTogetherMKE

Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) will host a drive-thru pet food pantry to distribute cat food, cat litter and dog food.

The event takes place Thursday, April 30, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Turner Hall Ballroom parking lot, 1040 Vel R. Phillips Ave.

MADACC hopes that people who have been adversely affected by layoffs and shutdowns, particularly in the service industry, will attend the event. Supplies are limited.

People who attend are asked to wait in their cars to be served. Wet and dry cat food, dry dog food and unscented, clumping litter will be available.

This charitable event was made possible by a generous grant from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and in collaboration with The Pabst Theater Group, the Turner Hall Ballroom, Pet Supplies Plus Greenfield and the Milwaukee Bucks.
