Malcolm Fuller
Malcolm Fuller’s got it all, including a great job at Harley-Davidson. He also has compassion for people and his community which is why he’s this week’s Milwaukee All-Star.
OnMilwaukee.com / Too Much Metal: How long have you been doing what you do?
Malcolm Fuller: I’ve been employed at Harley Davidson for 19 1/2 years in various roles at our headquarters Powertrain Operations Plant. I’m presently the maintenance reliability engineering lead at this factory division. I’m also the president of our African American Business Employee Resource Group (BERG).
OMC / TMM: What time of year / season is your favorite in Milwaukee and why?
MF: My favorite time of the year is definitely the summer, due in part to the vast celebrations of the great and diverse cultural festivals that our city has to offer. Great food, great people, great music, great times!
OMC / TMM: What’s your favorite or least favorite smell in Milwaukee?
MF: My favorite smell of Milwaukee has to be the smell of the beer hops resonating from Miller Valley. When I used to live a stone’s throw from the historical Miller Brewery, waking up to that aroma in the morning was refreshing.
OMC / TMM: What neighborhood do you live in ?
MF: I live on the North Side of Milwaukee in the Sherman Park area.
OMC / TMM: What's your hope for Milwaukee?
MF: My hope for Milwaukee would be the stoppage of the senseless violence that is going on. We are setting dismal and negative records for homicides of black men in the inner city, which is beyond depressing.
OMC / TMM: When / how did you fall in love with Milwaukee?
MF: Although I was born and raised in North Carolina during my early childhood years, I’ve stayed and lived in Milwaukee for well over half of my accumulative life. I love the community, the unique eateries, tailgating at Miller Park, as well as the prior iconic County Stadium, the lakefront festivals in the summer and, of course, the rich heritage that the city is noted for and built on.
OMC / TMM: Why do you do what you do?
MF: I enjoy working for Harley-Davidson. To be part of an organization that is truly a great American icon gives me a sense of pride. Working with great people throughout the company to deliver fascinating products to customers, who have expressed personal dreams and aspirations to me about owning and riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, is pretty darn cool.
OMC / TMM: What’s your one guilty pleasure?
MF: Guilty pleasure? Hmmmm …. Would have to be my weekly desire to sip on a multitude of Moscow Mules at one of my fave cocktail lounges in Milwaukee, Bryant’s Cocktail Lounge, followed by a periodic stroll down to Potawatomi Casino for a ROI chance on the number "26 Black" at the roulette table.

MF: Without a doubt, Toya Washington! A high soft five!
