The Milwaukee Ballet announced the performances for its 2012-13 season today and the lineup includes both classic pieces and original choreography.

The season starts Oct. 18-21 with Puccini's "La Bohème."

The Ballet will stage the family holiday favorite "The Nutcracker" Dec. 8-26, and will kick off 2013 with the annual "Genesis: International Choreographic Competition" at the Pabst Theater from Feb. 7 to 10.

The ever-innovative "Spring Series" runs April 11-14, and the season concludes with the beloved "Swan Lake" May 16-19.
