All is bright down in the Miller Valley for the holiday season – but maybe not so calm and the nights are very much not silent – thanks to the Miller Holiday Lites.
Celebrating its 15th year bathing State Street in a festive glow – this year with the help of almost 700,000 bulbs – the Miller Holiday Lites hit the switch this Christmas season back on Friday, Nov. 30. And in case you haven't hit the Holiday Lites yet, here's a quick video by Social Candy (posted on our Instagram) to help get you in the festive spirit – and get you down to the Miller Valley.
To see the Holiday Lites for yourself, Miller hosts tours on Friday and Saturday nights every 20 minutes beginning at 4:40 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Miller Visitor Center, found at 42nd and State Streets. Plus, as you would expect from a trip into Miller country, those 21 and over can sample beer at the end of the tour. But don't delay, as the tours end on Saturday, Dec. 22.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
