Miller Brewery has a new downtown location, and it's proudly featuring the freshest Miller Beer, hot carved sandwiches, beer cheddar soup, classic Miller television commercials and all the fixings of an authentic German pub.

The new Miller Time Pub, located on the ground floor of the Hilton Milwaukee City Center with view out to N. 5th St. & Wisconsin Ave., is now open for business, and if you pardon the cliche, "if you have the time, they always have the beer."

The Miller Time Pub has all the ingredients to become a popular downtown attraction. It's wall to wall classic Miller Brewing memorabilia, including flat screen televisions in both restrooms that show Miller commercials from all eras. Nothing like going to bathroom and seeing those classic Lite commercials. It's like being in the "front row."

In addition to the classic Miller stuff that spices up the pub, Miller Time Pub has tons of televisions and a long bar that is quite comfortable to belly up to. Its waitresses and bartenders are just about the friendliest in town, and your cold glass of High Life comes with a pretzel, too. The staff is dressed in 1800s garb, which adds to a fun experience. And starting soon, the bar will feature "Miller Time," in which the staff says "anything goes." We'll see what that means ...

You guessed it, the only beer on tap is of the Miller variety, but that includes several types of Leinie's and Foster's. A more robust bottled selection includes Milwaukee microbrews and other Miller owned products. The bar also serves cocktails, as well.

While the beer tastes like its piped straight from the brewery, the food at Miller Time Pub is also a hit. A concise menu makes ordering easy. Appetizers (mustard, sausage and beer samplers), soups (beer cheddar and chili, both made by the chef and served in bread bowls), salads (Greek and Caesar) and hearty, hot carved sandwiches (turkey, ham, corned beef, beef brisket and pulled pork) are the only menu items. Sandwiches are served with deep-fried kettle chips and a pickle the size of a small baby's arm!

Open seven days a week, the Miller Time Pub (a partnership with Miller but not an extension of Miller Brewing Company) offers free bus shuttles to Miller Park, special brewery tours, party menus and Milwaukee's largest Sunday Bloody Mary Bar complete with prime rib and eggs. Stop in, it's Miller Time all the time at the new Miller Time Pub. Call (414) 271-BEER.
