Questions, concerns and plans regarding the COVID-19 vaccinations will be addressed in a virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday evening. Medical professionals and public health officials will share authoritative information and provide perspective on issues raised by members of the public.
Panelists include Interim Health Commissioner Marlaina Jackson and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Heather Paradis of the City of Milwaukee Health Department. Milwaukee Board of Health member Julia Means, a registered nurse at Ascension Health, will join the panel along with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. TMJ4’s Tony Atkins will moderate the discussion.
“This is a great opportunity to offer reliable information on COVID-19 vaccinations and, more importantly, to listen to the very real concerns that people want to share,” Mayor Barrett said. “Our residents should be empowered with the information they need to make the best decisions – for themselves and for their family members.”
The virtual town hall meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021. To join the meeting, residents can register at bit.ly/CrushCovidTownHall. Questions for the panel can be submitted in advance at that same site.
The town hall meeting will be aired live with captioning on the City Channel (Spectrum Channel 25 or milwaukee.gov/citychannel), livestreamed on Facebook (@MKEhealth) and posted at milwaukee.gov/covidvax after the event.
