The first ever Milwaukee Tech Bash is headed to the Zocalo Food Park in Walker's Point on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
Hosted by the brand new food truck park and presented by Startup Milwaukee and Skills Pipeline, the Milwaukee Tech Bash brings together the city's tech and startup communities – from entrepreneurs to business leaders, technologists and more – for a night of conversation, collaboration, thoughtful discussion, networking and, of course, food and fun.
In addition to dining options from Zocalo's regular food truck lineup – including tacos from Mazorca, burgers and sandwiches from Fontelle's Eatery, wings and rice bowls from Bowlcut MKE, ice cream from Scratch and the venue's rotating food truck – Milwaukee Tech Bash will serve up live music performances, tech demos, lawn games including bocce and bag toss, and a Mario Kart tournament in addition to networking with local startups and businesses.
The Milwaukee Tech Bash will run from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The event is free; to RSVP, visit this website.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
