Fastcompany.com, the innovative magazine that recently touted Will Allen of Growing Power, is once again giving Brew City props hailing the "contemporary and approachable -- and fairly reasonably priced" furniture designs of Vincent and Paul Georgeson's modern furniture line Misewell.

The first collection for the Milwaukee-based furniture design and manufacturing company, founded by brothers Vincent and Paul Georgeson, is the "best new design" according to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF).

Fast Company seems a bit surprised crafting the headline: "ICFF's Best Designers Hail From ... Milwaukee?!" Indeed they do, Fast Company, and it's another feather in our creative city's cap.

Here's what the publication had to say about the UW-Stout grads and their big win at ICFF:

"At ICFF 2009, Misewell made an extraordinarily polished debut with its very first furniture collection--and the furniture design company just won the New Designer award, judged by the ICFF Editors committee, which included tastemakers from Dwell, Metropolis, and others. The young company, comprised of two brothers, Vincent and Paul Georgeson, is perhaps the only furniture start-up in recent memory to be based in Milwaukee. But you'd never guess it looking at their designs, which are both contemporary and approachable -- and fairly reasonably priced, given the size of their operations."
