Downtown Milwaukee’s summer trolley service, the Milwaukee Trolley Loop presented by VISIT Milwaukee, returns this season, connecting passengers to Downtown’s favorite hotspots beginning Thursday, June 2.
Running Thursdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., June 2 through Sept. 3, the 30-stop route costs just $1 to board and serves East Town, Westown, Water Street, Old World Third Street and the Historic Third Ward. Both out-of-town guests and residents can board the "Hop ‘n Shop, Wine ‘n Dine" route to be on the fast track to museums, shops, festivals and other Downtown events.
"The Milwaukee Trolley Loop is a great way for people to familiarize themselves with our fabulous downtown community and its offerings," said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. "With convenient stops across downtown, the service offers affordable and user-friendly public transportation to all points of interest. We’re looking forward to another successful year thanks to the support from our community partners."
Attractions along the Milwaukee Trolley Loop route include the Milwaukee Public Market, Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee Public Museum, Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, boat tours and the theater and hotel districts. The route also includes downtown’s many restaurants, shops, spas and salons.
