Thanksgiving week seems to be the week of the free projects for Milwaukee hip-hop artists.
On Wednesday, EMP Entertainment's lead group Streetz & Young Deuces released "The Mad Flavor Experience," which is hosted by DJ Mr. King.
SNYD is a group known for its aesthetics based music, a strong work ethic, and for having a constant stream of music. This has allowed it to rise in popularity throughout Milwaukee, with it even being regarded as a group that could possibly reach the next level. SNYD's music has been reaching beyond Milwaukee which led to it receiving a Southern Entertainment Award for "Best New Group" last year.

On Thursday, Milwaukee goofballs The Cranberry Show released a new mixtape that is continuing its recent history of releasing a mixtape on a holiday, starting with Halloween of this year.
TCS has had a busy year as they also grow in popularity around Milwaukee and more importantly, beyond Milwaukee. It put out a new album over the summer, and has a constant stream of videos popping up on its Web site. They range from silly encounters to music videos. If you are not familiar
with TCS, some people call them Milwaukee's version of N.E.R.D. and The Cool Kids.

Today, Umbrella Music Group's gifted and gritty battle emcee Yo-Dot is releasing his second project of the year, this one is called "A Shorecrest Memoir EP."
Yo-Dot's approach to rap is in the vein of grimey street music. Coming off some pretty one-sided wins in Milwaukee's first Grind Time Now battle, a battle that puts two emcees against each other with verses that were previously prepared for each other, Yo-Dot is certainly going to continue to bring the lyrical heat as he gears up for a full-length project which will come out sometime in 2011 I'm guessing.

Born in Milwaukee and raised in the Milwaukee suburb of Brown Deer, Concordia University Wisconsin alumnus Poppe has spent the majority of his life in or around the city and county of Milwaukee.
