In support of Pride Month, Milwaukee's MobCraft Beer has partnered with Courage MKE to create the limited-release limoncello-inspired Limonata Love is Love Ale, with lemon, lactose, passion fruit and strawberries.
The brew will be released in the MobCraft Beer Brewery and Taproom on Thursday, June 2 to help celebrate the start of PrideFest at the Henry Maier Festival Park and the June 5 Milwaukee Pride Parade, which takes place in Walker's Point, where MobCraft is located.
“When my friend asked if we were making a beer to support Pride Month, my answer was yes, of course we can make that happen,” says MobCraft owner and President Henry Schwartz.
“Milwaukee and particularly our Walker’s Point neighborhood has a vibrant LGBTQ+ community! Creating Limonata Love is Love is an opportunity for us to continue to stand in solidarity with our community and LGBTQ+ friends to support inclusivity, unity and love for all.”
The ale will be on tap at MobCraft and some other Walker's Point bars and restaurants all month or until supplies are exhausted. You'll be able to find it by looking for the distinctive handmade tap handle (see photo at top).
One dollar for every pint sold will benefit Courage MKE, which works to offer housing, resources and services to displaced and homeless LGBTQ+ youth in Milwaukee, as well as scholarships, hygiene care packages and other services to LGBTQ+ youth in the area.
