The Pfister Hotel and a local review panel – including OnMilwaukee.com's Bobby Tanzilo – have chosen author Ed Makowski to be the newest Pfister Narrator, the hotel's in-house storyteller and blogger.

Over the course of six months, Makowski will interview visitors and guests in The Pfister lobby and share their stories on The Pfister's blog.

Makowski was chosen from a selection of qualified applicants based on his writing style, personality and experience, which includes two published poetry collections and a number of print and online works. He also contributes interviews to Milwaukee's NPR station, 89.7 WUWM, where he also curates "The Lunch Counter" storytelling series.

Makowski's residency as The Pfister Narrator will begin Nov. 1.
