According to a massive sign in the window, a new "honky-tonk" live music venue is coming to the former Up and Under Pub, 1214 E. Brady St., as first reported by Urban Milwaukee.

The name of the bar is "Nashville North," however the operators of the new space are currently unknown as no building permits or license applications are pending with the city.

OnMilwaukee called the building owner, Peter Wolbersen, but he is yet to return our call.

The iconic 1885-built building housed the Up & Under venue from 1977 until September of 2020.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more information about Nashville North when it becomes available.
