Next week marks a national holiday. That's right: A new season of "Barbecue Showdown" is here to celebrate! Oh, and also the Fourth of July.

Indeed, Netflix recently announced their latest collection of new arrivals – a lineup that includes a glorious fresh serving of America's juicy and delicious answer to "The Great British Baking Show." For vegetarians and people who somehow hate scrumptious cooking competition shows, don't worry: There's much more than just "Barbecue Showdown" bringing fireworks to the Netflix library next month.

If you're hungry for blockbsuters more than beef, for instance, the Big Red Streaming Monolith will cook up "Back to the Future" franchise, the original "Spider-Man" trilogy and the first two "Bad Boys" for you in July. Need some kid-friendly flicks to feast on? Recent animated hits "Trolls Band Together" and "Paw Patrol: The Movie" are on the menu as well. And as for some Oscar nominees to om-nom, enjoy a five-course meal of "American Hustle," "The Blind Side," "Call Me By Your Name," "Captain Phillips" and "Magic Mike XXL." (Well, in a JUST world that last one would've been nominated.) The zom-com "Zombieland" is also coming to Netflix, if you want something to ruin your appetite for meat (but amplify your appetite for Twinkies).

As for Netflix's original creations, the streamer's got a long-awaited "Beverly Hills Cop" sequel, a receiver-focused spin-off of its "Quarterback" NFL reality show, yet another season of "Cobra Kai" and an animated show based on the Exploding Kittens card game. So maybe "original" isn't quite the right word. But hey, when you're gifting me a new season of "Barbecue Showdown," all is forgiven!

Anyways, here's the full lineup of TV shows and movies coming to Netflix in July for your red, white and binge-watching needs.

Matt Mueller Culture Editor

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
