Today, I'm happy to welcome a new blogger to OnMilwaukee.com. After a few years working hard in Chicago, Nirvana Cobb is back in Milwaukee and her work for us debuts today.

Our first contact with Nirvana came when we were assembling the first edition of the "OMCD" series of local music compilation CDs. Nirvana was working with Milwaukee rapper Baby Drew and help us secure his bumpin' tune "Turn It Loose (Rice & Beans)" for the disc.

When she showed up at the release party for the disc, we all learned about what a driven, eager and resourceful promoter of Milwaukee music she is.

Also involved in fashion -- she has her own line of kidswear -- Nirvana has her finger on the pulse of Brew City and she'll share her passion and knowledge with OnMilwaukee.com readers every week.

Her first blog -- about a boutique on the northwest side -- runs this morning. Check it out and join me in welcoming Nirvana back to town and to OnMilwaukee.com!
