Are you long overdue for a relaxing vacation? We are too.

That’s why we created OnMilwaukee OnVacay, a unique opportunity to travel with OnMilwaukee staff to an incredible destination at a price you won’t find anywhere else.

This year, you can join me and my FoodCrush Podcast co-host and Pop Culture Editor Matt Mueller as we escape the cold Wisconsin winter to explore the wonders of Riviera Maya from its crystalline turquoise waters and white-sand beaches to its majestic archaeological sites and (of course) its fresh, flavorful cuisine.

It’s an opportunity to escape the cold, make new friends and experience a one-of-a-kind getaway created especially for our food-loving readers. And you can do it all for one very reasonable price.

OnMilwaukee Vacay: Riviera Maya will take place March 5-12, 2022. But there are just a few spots left, so you should reserve your spot right now

What to expect

You’ll be free to vacation your way at the El Dorado Casitas Royale, an adults-only gourmet all-inclusive resort where your biggest worry will be what you should eat (or drink) next. There are, after all, 14 restaurants right on the resort, including American, Pacific Rim, Italian and Caribbean fare.

We’ll be staying in well-appointed 700 square foot Casita suites equipped with amenities like hot tubs, private balconies and aguas del amor (outdoor showers). The suites also have access to an exclusive pool and swim up pool bar.

You’ll have plenty of free time to sip cocktails by the pool, explore the resort’s beaches or enjoy activities like yoga, snorkeling, kayaking or guided tours along jungle trails.

Of course, our OnVacay will also feature some unique extras, including a special  poolside concert, a tour of the resort’s organic greenhouse and a full-day excursion to Ek Balam, one of the most recently unearthed ancient Mayan sites, followed by a cenote swim, lunch and a visit to one of the Yucatan’s hidden gems, Valladolid.

Don’t wait to book

Due to the relatively small number and exclusivity of the “Casita” accommodations at the (sold out) El Dorado Casitas Royale and included activities, space is limited. So sign up now.
