Outlaw Oyster has been making waves since it first popped up at Crafty Cow in East Tosa last February. Since then, it’s evolving from a cheeky little oyster bar experiment into a full-on neighborhood hangout. And now, the shuckers are packing their knives (and tins) and heading south.  Bay View is about to get its own Outlaw Oyster, opening Friday, Sept. 12, inside the southern side of Crafty Cow, 2675 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.

“We’ve had such a blast in East Tosa,” says Crafty Cow owner Devin Eichler. “Outlaw has turned into this super approachable, fun spot where people come for date nights or just hang out with friends. Bay View feels like a perfect fit.”

What you’ll slurp & snack on

Outlaw Oyster keeps things simple but playful: four varieties of oysters daily, dressed up however you like (classic mignonette, aquachile, hot sauce or cocktail sauce), plus the option to go fancy with salmon or sturgeon roe on top. Pair them with house bloody shooters, oyster-and-beer specials, or a dozen oysters and a spritz.

Beyond oysters, the menu is loaded with shareable plates and seafood-inspired sandwiches. Think shrimp cocktail, smoked fish dip, buttery lobster rolls, and even a towering seafood platter stacked with lobster claws, shrimp and oysters.

Of course, Outlaw leans into the quirky too. There’s the Octodog (yes, an octopus tentacle dressed up like a hotdog) and the over-the-top Caviar & Nuggs (caviar-topped chicken nuggets) are both instant conversation starters.

Meanwhile, seasonal plates, like a peak-season heirloom tomato sandwich, ensure that there’s always something new to try.

Drinks & Yappy Hours

The drinks list is built for seafood. That means lots of bubbles, chilled wines, beer, cocktails (yes, including a Frosé), daily spritzes and even THC-infused and zero-proof options.

And because one happy hour isn’t enough, Outlaw Oyster has two. Yappy Hour runs from 4 to 5 p.m. with deals on drinks, oysters, tins and snacks. On Wednesdays, those specials run all day long. Then there’s Still Yappin’ — a late-night happy hour Thursday through Saturday from 8:30 to 10 p.m., complete with $30 bottles of bubbles.
