It's time for Dining Month, presented by Deer District and its spooky Halloween-themed alter ego, Fear District. Throughout the month of October, we'll be serving up fun and fascinating content about all things food. The signature dish, however, is our 2019 Best of Dining poll, with winners getting dished out all month long. Get hungry, Milwaukee!

Kevin Sloan knows Milwaukee, he knows innovative cooking and he knows how to please. His early work at Milwaukee's The Social, Room 434 and Sol Fire is near-legendary and truly helped set the tone for today's growing Milwaukee food scene.

Since those days, however, Sloan has been working a bit more behind the scenes, satisfying the appetites and palates of the vast array of talented musicians, comedians and more that perform at The Pabst Theater Group's gorgeous and historic venues.

Indeed, this chef to the stars is living the high life – and in this new episode of Over a Beer, he talks with OnMilwaukee's Matt Mueller about his culinary origin story in New Mexico, the highs and lows of feeding the famous, some of his favorite meals and much, much more.

It's all inside this episode of "Over a Beer," a new interview series that captures the high life in and around Milwaukee. The series is proudly presented by Miller Brewing Company and OnMilwaukee.
