Palermo’s, in partnership with the Hunger Task Force, assembled and delivered 1,000 meals for Milwaukee families as part of the company’s fourth annual Easter Baskets for the Hungry program today. The Easter baskets will be delivered to local families who would not otherwise be able to enjoy a traditional holiday meal this season.

New Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele joined the effort today as a team filled baskets with ham, jellybeans and all of the ingredients for a green bean casserole.  Each Easter basket contained approximately 40 pounds of food, enough to provide a family with an entire week’s worth of food.

"The Easter Baskets program has become our own family tradition, and we extend a special thank you to all of our community partners for their support," said Giacomo Fallucca, president and CEO, Palermo’s Pizza.
