The Panini Co., located on Mason Street just west of Jackson, opens at 11 a.m. beginning Monday.

The restaurant had opened at 7 a.m., and sold baked goods, bagels, breakfast sandwiches and Starbucks coffee.

A sign on the door informed customers of the new hours last week. Apparently, sluggish sales and competition from other coffee outlets prompted the change.

The restaurant is still open until 3 p.m. and sells sandwiches, salads, soups and drinks.
