It was July of 2013 when Pizza Man reopened its doors at 2597 N. Downer Ave. after the 2010 fire which destroyed its original East Side location on North Avenue.
Nearly 10 years later, the iconic Milwaukee restaurant is making another move. As its lease on the Downer Avenue location comes to an end, the pizza restaurant will be making a move to 2060 N. Humboldt Blvd. That’s the former site of Stubby's Gastrogrub & Beer Bar, which closed in December.

According to information provided by F Street Hospitality, they have spent months looking for a viable, sustainable location where they could continue to serve the East Side Community, and the new Riverfront location checked all the necessary boxes.
The new location, which is expected to open in mid to late March (contingent on the acquisition of licensure from the City of Milwaukee), will continue to serve up the classic pizzas, pastas and salads for which they have become known. There will also be happy hour, BOGO Tuesday and Wine Wednesday specials, along with game-day and brunch menus.
However, thanks to the 53 tap lines at the new location, they will also be expanding their selection of local and craft beer, signature cocktails and wine.
The new location also accommodates significantly more guests than the Downer location, including al fresco accommodations on the expansive patio overlooking the river.
An official opening date, hours and grand opening specials will be released in the coming weeks. In the meantime, guests are invited to head to the Downer Avenue location for a final meal as the restaurant prepares for its move.
