For the 10th straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, dining guides, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as voting for your "Best of Dining 2016."

On Saturday, Nov. 5 from noon to 4 p.m., Point Burger Bar will be hosting a job fair for their new Pewaukee location, which is slated to open Dec. 1.

The company hopes to fill over 100 job openings including managers, bartenders, servers, kitchen and support staff.

Located at W229 N1400 Westwood Dr., Point Burger Bar in Pewaukee is an 18,000 square foot restaurant, with a 5,000 square foot game room, a large viewing deck overlooking the Veloce Race Track and an exterior patio seating over 150 customers.

"For months, we have been searching for the right spot for our second location. The moment we saw the Pewaukee location, we knew this was where we wanted to be," said Brian Ward, owner of Point Burger Bar. "Based on our experience at the Good Hope Road location, we foresee great things for Point Burger Bar here in Pewaukee."

Ward believes that a key part of the company’s success has been having the right staff in place. At the Nov. 5 job fair, the company hopes to fill many of the more than 100 job openings.

"Having a motivated, friendly and dependable staff is key," said Ward. "Experience is great, but I’m just as happy to find someone with a great attitude and desire to learn. If the willingness is there, we can teach anyone to excel at any of the jobs we have to offer. Many of the staff who opened our Good Hope Road location three years ago are still with us today, because we continue to recognize their efforts, offer great pay and advancement opportunities not usually found in the service industry."

As for the restaurant, in keeping with the initial concept, the Pewaukee location will feature an extensive menu with a special focus on burger options. Along with Prime Angus, Point’s burger options include duck, turkey, buffalo, salmon, lamb and more.

On the beverage menu at Point Burger Bar in Pewaukee, there is, of course, a full bar with plenty of Point Brewery Beer. However, it is the malt and shake options that stand out too many guests. Inspired by a similar concept Ward came across in Las Vegas, Point Burger Bar has a liquor option with their shakes and malts. Along with the delicious classic shakes without liquor, there are over a dozen specialty shakes with liquor such as Royal Raspberry with Kahlua, cheesecake, brandy and berries, or the Salted Caramel Brittle with salted caramel, peanut butter, Jameson Whiskey and Frangelico.

"The shake bar, along with a diverse burger menu, has certainly set us apart from any other restaurant in the area. We want to keep building on our success, and Pewaukee is the next step in that journey," said Ward. "With the construction wrapping up, all focus is on finding the best employees the help us make Point Burger Bar Pewaukee absolutely amazing."

Point Burger Bar in Pewaukee will be hosting their job fair on Saturday, Nov. 5 from noon to 4 p.m.

This is the second location for Point Burger Bar. The original venue is located at 10950 W. Good Hope Rd. in Milwaukee.
