Walking through a windfall wonderland

Potawatomi has stockings-full of festive ways to increase winnings throughout December. To participate, guests must be a member of the free-to-join Fire Keeper’s Club.

The winning sounds of the season

Northern Lights Theater and Bar 360 will host many merry music-makers between now and the end of the year.

  • Christmas with The Nelsons
    For three generations, The Nelson Family entertainers have provided heart-warming Christmas concerts with just the right amount of humor, sibling solidarity and technology. The shows run Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 28, 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35. Go here for more information.
  • Luminare
    This unique concert is a combination of extraordinary music and entrancing visuals. From Musical Director and Keyboardist of Mannheim Steamroller and Dennis DeYoung (STYX), John Blasucci and LUMINARE bang out powerful re-imaginings of Christmas classics along with new original music. The show takes place Friday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. and tickets range from $35 to $45. Go here for tickets.
  • Eric Benet
    The four-time Grammy nominated singer/songwriter is the antithesis of holiday stress and this year he brings his chill vibe home for the holidays. Benet, an international star who grew up in Milwaukee, performs soul-soothing R&B greats on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $40 to $50. Go here to get yours.
  • Jason D. Williams’ & Hillbilly Casino’s “Holiday Humdinger”
    Since 2005, Hillbilly Casino has been an anchor of Nashville’s underground music community with its mix of early rock and roll, blues, punk and metal. The quartet features former members of Brian Setzer’s Nashvillains, BR549 and the Blue Moon Boys. The show is sey for Thursday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and $25. Click here for tickets.
  • Rodney Carrington
    Laugh through the holiday season with Rodney Carrington, one of the top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians of the past two decades who’s coming to The Northern Lights Theater on Friday, Dec. 16 at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Aside from 10 comedy albums, Carr also released “Make it Christmas” which features his original song “Camouflage and Christmas Lights," a tribute to our military.   • A Boy Band Christmas
    Have a hunky holiday with A Boy Band Christmas – featuring Jeff Timmons, Drew Lachey and Justin Jeffre (98 DEGREES), Jamie Jones (ALL-4-ONE), Erik-Michael Estrada (O-TOWN), and Ryan Cabrera. The supergroup is set to deliver an evening of classic holiday songs and sing-along hits on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 to $55 and available here.
  • Bodeans
    For 35 years, the BoDeans have put Waukesha, Wis. on the worldwide music map. They squeeze in on more 2022 show at their old stomping grounds with a show on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $50. Get 'em here.

Eat, drink and get lucky
Good food and gaming have always paired nicely. And this holiday season, the traditional options sound like a win-win:

  • Traditional Christmas Dinner at Canal St. Café and The Firepit Sports Bar & Grill. Includes sliced ham with maple glaze, cheese potatoes, roasted honey carrots, roasted broccoli, bacon cheese soup and a dinner roll. $25.
  • Spiced Buche de Noel (Yule Log) at Canal St. Café and The Firepit Sports Bar & Grill is a vanilla Swiss roll with holiday spiced syrup and chocolate ganache served with vanilla anglaise. $8.
