After a few years on hiatus, St. Francis Children’s Center (SFCC) celebrates its 31st annual wine, beer and chocolate tasting fundraiser under a new name, "Pours For A Purpose."

The Kentucky Derby-themed event takes place Saturday, May 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at SFCC, 6700 N. Port Washington Rd.  The fun includes live music, raffles, wine and liquor pull, and silent auction. Tickets are $60 and derby attire is encouraged.

“Pours For A Purpose” will serve fine wines, craft beers, gourmet chocolates, spirits (including mint juleps and bourbon to reflect the derby theme) and ciders from The Milwaukee Wine Academy, Broken Bat Brewery, Point Beer, Lakefront Brewery, Out Woken Tea, System Seltzer, Hughes Chocolates, Jobea Bakes, SAZ’s and many more.

St. Francis Children’s Center – which has helped more than 33,000 children and their families since it was founded in 1968 – will recieve 100 percent of proceeds to support inclusive special education, pediatric therapy and much-needed services for children with special needs or developmental delays in Southeastern Wisconsin.

"This is a small, intimate tasting event featuring local brands in support of helping children with special needs throughout Milwaukee County," says Cornelius Holt, director of marketing and development for SFCC. "People won't want to miss it."
