In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Milwaukee Public Market has partnered with Milwaukee’s legendary Lakefront Brewery to release a 20th Anniversary Market Lager.
The crisp, limited-release lager will debut on Tuesday, July 15, during Tom Petty tribute band’s Learning to Fly’s performance as part of the Riverwalk Commons Concert Series at 423 N. Water St.
“This milestone deserves to be celebrated in a memorable way, and what better way than with a custom-labeled beer from one of Milwaukee’s most respected breweries,” noted Paul Schwartz, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Public Market and Business Improvement District #2 in a release about the new brew.
“Lakefront has played a major role in shaping Milwaukee’s reputation as Brew City and has been a strong supporter of the Market over the years. It’s an honor to partner with them once again as we say 'cheers to 20 years!'”
According to the release, the celebratory beer is light-bodied and refreshing, featuring a clean, smooth finish. It pours pale gold with a white head and is brewed with quality imported noble hops, delivering just the right balance of malt and hop character.
“We’re proud to help the Milwaukee Public Market celebrate this remarkable anniversary with a classic, crowd-pleasing lager,” said Russ Klisch, founder and owner of Lakefront Brewery. “The Market has become a cornerstone of Milwaukee’s vibrant food scene and a beloved hub for socializing among locals and visitors alike, which makes this special release a natural fit.”
Guests who are unable to make it to the July 15th concert will also be able to enjoy the beer at all remaining Riverwalk Commons Concert Series events.
The beer will also be available to purchase at Foltz Family Market, Thief Wine, Margarita Paradise, David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse & Saloon, St. Paul Fish Company’s Palapa, West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe.
