The weather is hot, and Purple Door's First Annual Flavor Contest – which will take place on Saturday, June 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. – is as cool as can be.

If you've been sitting on pins and needles for the past month waiting to see what delicious flavors have been chosen for the event, we have a sneak peek for you.

Twelve finalists have been chosen, and three of them are (drum roll):

  • Espresso bourbon chocolate chip
  • "Bee Sting" – honey and black pepper
  • Nutella Brownie Blast

Of course, you have to attend the event to find out the other nine!

All 12 flavors will be revealed at the public tasting event on June 20. Tickets for the event are $10 and include 12 flavor samples and a ballot for voting for your favorite flavor. Additional sample tickets can be purchased for $1 each.

Voters' ballots will be counted at the end of the day and winners will be announced at that time. The winning flavor will become a permanent offering on Purple Door's rotating flavor menu.

Tickets are on sale through June 20 at the Purple Door scoop shop.
