In conjunction with OnMilwaukee Pride Week, June 1-7, we're inviting everyone in the city to participate in the "Rainbow City Chalk Project."

All it entails is getting your hand on some chalk, creating a message of Milwaukee Love on your sidewalks and, if you feel like it, sending your photo to us for inclusion in our Rainbow City Gallery.

The goal, in short, is to turn Brew City into Rainbow City this week!

Local artists Stacey Williams Ng and Jessica Laub are creating larger-scale Rainbow City chalk street drawings and OnMilwaukee will be there to FB Live the  fascinating process of creating an intricate but extremely temporary masterpiece. Times and days TBA for this.

This is also a great project for kids and families with the potential for providing fun, teachable moments.

It's a tough time, Milwaukee. Many of us are heartbroken, angry, scared, fed up and so many other emotions right now. Thus, the point of this project, and OnMilwaukee Pride Week in general, is to take a few minutes to focus on love, to love each other and to spread love throughout the city.

Send your Pride chalk drawings to molly@onmilwaukee.com.
