Dogs Bollocks

A relative newcomer to the East Side bar scene, the Dogs Bollocks is one of very few British bars in the area (although there's certainly no lack of Irish ones around these days).
Located in the former Elliot's Bistro spot, this pub and restaurant represents owner Tony Wright (who hails from England) well. The food ranges from traditional to modern, but is always authentically English and the beer list might as well have been pulled straight from a pub in old London town.
Menu: It's predominantly English, which means you'll find the likes of Stella, Boddingtons, Carlsberg, Newcastle Brown Alea and Kronenbourg 1664 on tap. If you're feeling domestic, it serves Miller, Bud and the like in bottles.
Price: Moderate. This is not a small dive bar. It's new, clean and classy and the prices reflect that.
When to go: Tuesday nights to test your individual and / or team knowledge at the weekly pub style quiz, which features new, topical questions every week. All participating players enter the large screen HDTV World Cup flat screen raffle.
Dress: Come as you are. Or go mod. Up to you.
Don't miss: The full English breakfast, which is conveniently served all day. Prepare for a plate full of bacon, eggs, grilled tomatoes, fried bread, baked beans, button mushrooms, bubble and squeak potatoes and bangers. Chase 'er down with a pint.
Parking: There's no designed lot, and this is the East Side, so you might want to save yourself several trips around the block and show up early to get a good spot along Murray Avenue.
