The Milwaukee Street nightlife scene crawls south across Wisconsin Avenue to the 600 block this summer when Roman Torres, co-owner of the old Fly Bar, opens Razor (a night club) and Star Bar (a lounge) at 631 N. Milwaukee St. The space is the former home of Barsamian Oriental Rugs.

Work is currently being completed on the two spaces, but signage is already up. Torres says the Razor side will be a true nightclub featuring electronica music and according to its Web site "sounds of the future." Star Bar, to the south, aims to be more chill and features a VIP area below and cozy booths and seating through out. Star Bar also will serve desserts.

Torres hopes to open "in the next several weeks."
