Spring is the season of rebirth and refresh – and Riverwest Radio is fittingly ringing it in with a fresh new event, its first annual Spring Ball hosted on Friday, March 31. 

Hosted from 7-11 p.m. at the freshly renovated ballroom at Riverwest icon Falcon Bowl, 801 E. Clarke St., the new all-ages Spring Ball is a celebration of the season with DJ Von Magius spinning hits for the dance floor, a photobooth, food and tea from local vendors to help fuel the fun, and prizes – including one for the night's best dressed attendee.

In addition to prizes at the event itself, Riverwest Radio will also pick the winners for two month-long sweepstakes at the Spring Ball. The month-long sweepstakes will raffle away a Urban Ecology Center package complete with a one-year family membership to the UEC, as well as two two-day passes to any of Adventure Rock's three climbing locations. Those interested can enter their names for the two raffles for free at Riverwest Radio's website – plus receive an extra raffle entry with every bonus $2 donation made. 

It's all delightful news – but the most delightful part of it all is the money raised from the Spring Ball and the sweepstakes will go toward Riverwest Radio, supporting a local outlet truly embedded in its community and its goals for the coming year. One of those main goals includes an alleyway activation series, aiming to bring live performances, sidewalk chalk engagements and more to the radio area each month throughout the summer.
