Earlier this year, I was entrusted to take care of two rosemary plants which were on the verge of death in my family's home.
Somehow, thanks to the help of a full-spectrum desk lamp, I brought them back to life.
Then ... bad things happened.
One plant fell out my third-story window (it actually hit a passer-by in the head, breaking his sunglasses. All I'll say is he shouldn't have been doing what he was doing ... especially where he was doing it).
The second was doing fine up until the late-July storms. (At least that's my diagnosis.) There was an "oops" moment when it got knocked off the patio railing, but I'm pretty sure it was on it's way out by that point.
Now, I'm in a jam. I've tried everything to get the last plant back to life, but nothing has worked. And on Saturday ... I need to return the plant for a ceremony.
One of the local German clubs uses these plants for their biggest annual event, a fund-raiser for its youth dance group. I feel pretty bad that the plant died and have been trying to replace it.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to locate a rosemary at any nursery so I'm turning to the wonderful OnMilwaukee.com readers to help me try and locate one.
If you have any suggestions, or know where I can find a rosemary bush, post a Talkback or drop me an e-mail. It would be much appreciated ... and might get me out of the doghouse.
