Looking for a festive way to spend the Friday after Thanksgiving? Head to the glowing Cedar Creek Settlement, N70 W6340 Bridge Rd. in Cedarburg for a magical evening with Santa.
During the event, which takes place on Friday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m., Santa Claus will be taking visits from children (and adults) in his decorated holiday corner in a shop on the Settlement first floor.
During the event, letters and lists for Santa will be carefully read and treasured, and photos are allowed, so parents are invited to bring their cameras.
There will also be holiday songs of famed Wisconsin balladeer and children’s entertainer David H.B. Drake, who will be dressed in his Christmas Gnome finery on the Settlement main floor landing. He’ll also be bringing some extra instruments so that children can accompany him.
Additional events include a Make & Take Holiday Ornament and Cookie Decorating workshop (parents must accompany children under the age of 10), a Mel’s Charities Cookout (weather permitting), plus complimentary Trolley Rides which will stop at the Settlement.
During the event, there will be shops sampling goods, wine to try at Cedar Creek Winery and plenty of retail shops to peruse. Guests are also encouraged to bring unwrapped toys, cash or checks for the Kapco Kids 2 Kids toy drive.
Santa’s Workshop is part of the 2nd Annual free series of Five Festive Friday Eves. Upcoming Friday Eve activities include The Spirit of Christmas on Dec. 10 and Countdown to Christmas on Dec. 17. For more information, visit cedarcreeksettlement.com.
