When the second season of “Morimoto’s Sushi Master” airs on Roku in April, Milwaukee residents will have very good reasons to cheer.
Chef Jason Morimoto, a chef who began his career at Screaming Tuna in 2011, is one of the eight contestants on the show who will be vying for the title.
Behind the show is Chef Masaharu Morimoto, the star of “Iron Chef” and one of the driving forces behind the world’s sushi boom. He has created a series of cooking challenges that will be posed to eight contestants during the six-episode season. Each challenge is judged by Chef Morimoto and Michelin Starred Chef Phillip Frankland Lee of “Top Chef”. The winner will receive a grand prize of $25,000 and the title of Sushi Master.
