Radio host Sherwin Hughes is no longer a part of WNOV 860, as the radio station has reportedly cancelled his political radio talk show, "The Forum."

Hughes first tweeted about parting ways with the radio station from his personal Twitter account, citing "irreconcilable differences with station management" as the reason for the split. In a later tweet from The Forum's official Tweet account, Hughes clarified that the show had been cancelled.

Current WNOV program director Homer Blow confirmed Hughes's departure from the radio station to OnMilwaukee, saying an official statement will be released next week.

Hughes began hosting the current iteration of "The Forum" in July of 2012. The show was originally started in 2010 on Blowradio.com (Blow's online radio broadcast) prior to Hughes's arrival, but the show's run was short before it was reconfigured for Hughes two years later. Prior to his time on WNOV, Hughes also hosted the retro hip-hop radio show "The Old School Basement Party" on 98.3FM from 2008 until 2010.

Stay tuned for more updates on this story as they come in.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
