In honor of the 50th anniversary of Miller Lite, Molson Coors is teaming with Light the Hoan on Shine a Lite, a program that will make $10,000 donations to five area nonprofits and illuminate the Hoan Bridge in their organization's colors.
The application process is open now and nonprofits can submit their applications online here by June 3.
To be considered, nonprofits must be a 501(c)(3) organization in the greater Milwaukee area; must not have participated in the program in the past two years; and their mission must focus on civic leadership, economic empowerment or water and sustainability.
“For 50 years, Miller Lite has been part of countless celebrations, and there’s no better way to honor that legacy than by giving back to the hometown that helped build it,” said Alison Hanrahan, community affairs manager, Molson Coors.
“Through Shine a Lite, we’re proud to spotlight nonprofits that are building our legacy and shaping Milwaukee’s future.”
Added Light the Hoan Executive Director Erika Smith, "Our partnership with Molson Coors showcases our mutual dedication to amplifying the impact of Milwaukee’s incredible nonprofit organizations.
"This year, we’re thrilled to expand Shine a Lite to offer participating organizations even greater visibility and opportunities to engage with the community."
