Federal Judge Lynn Edelman Monday confirmed an award of almost half a million dollars in fees for the attorneys of Silk Exotic in a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee.

Adelman awarded $482,586.57 in fees to the Jeff Scott Olson Law Firm in Madison, which has represented the owners of Silk Exotic in a variety of legal actions. These fees cover only one lawsuit in which Silk was awarded nearly half a million dollars in damages.

There are several other lawsuits pending against the city, which has appealed the original verdict to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. 

Thus far the city is on the hook for nearly $1 million and there are several filed lawsuits to be litigated and several more apparently waiting to be filed.
