Social X is looking forward to an exciting summer in Milwaukee with its newly released lineup of events for its fifth annual Homecoming Week, seven days of activities exploring the city via networking, health and wellness, arts and culture, thoughtful discussion and just plain good times. The diversity and inclusion-focused young professionals group has put together an amazing array of things to do around Milwaukee from June 12-19, ranging from 5K runs to movie screenings and more.

MKE Xpress Tour
Sunday, June 12 – 12:30-6 p.m.
Location TBD
This tour will take you around Milwaukee’s hidden gems by bus with special guests at the stops along the way. Trivia, refreshments and giveaways will all be a part of this unique ride.
Being & Thriving: Spaces for People of Color
Monday, June 13 – 5-8 p.m.
Milwaukee Art Museum, 700 N. Art Museum Dr.
People of color panelists will speak at the Milwaukee Art Museum to talk about the importance of creating their own spaces and the advancement of their communities. Afterward, attendees can stop by the newest MAM exhibits like “Our Time Together” by Derrick Adams and "Always New: The Posters of Jules Chéret."
Cards Up, All Trust: A Men’s Health & Wellness and Career Conversation
Tuesday, June 14 – 5-8 p.m.
Jewels Caribbean, 2230 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr.
This conversational panel is focused on the struggles of men of color and ways to find acceptance and peace in the current climate. Geraud Blanks of Milwaukee Film will be moderating the event.
The Meet-Up

Night Market, W. Wisconsin Ave. between 2nd Street and Vel Phillips Avenue
Few places are better for a summertime meet-up than the Milwaukee Night Market, a monthly outdoor Downtown showcase lining Wisconsin Avenue with vendors of all kinds – from arts to food to small businesses and beyond – along with live entertainment and activities.
Juice: 30th Anniversary Screening
Thursday, June 16 – 7-9 p.m.
Oriental Theatre, 2230 N. Farwell Ave.
Black Lens MKE will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic film "Juice" starring Tupac by hosting a screening at the Oriental. For tickets, visit the theater's website.
The Life & Times of Tupac Shakur: An Artistic Retrospective
Friday, June 17 – 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Company Brewing, 735 E. Center St.
This interactive experience about Tupac Shakur’s music and films will provide a closer look at his life, as told through former Source Magazine editor-in-chief Bakari Kitwana. The event will include competitions like “Tupac Trivia” and “Finish the Lyrics,” and will finish off with a '90s/2000s hip-hop afterparty with DJ Bizzon.
Run the Yard 5K
Saturday, June 18 – 9 a.m. to noon
Urban Ecology Center, 3600 W. Pierce St.
Social X’s running crew FEAR MKE will lead the pack at this 5K, encouraging fitness and a fun time in the city. A block party will be held after the run with refreshments and a DJ.
Neon Dreams: Late Nights & Black Lights
Saturday, June 18 – 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Vue at Hyatt Regency, 333 W. Kilbourn Ave.
The Neon Dreams event will fulfill all your fluorescent fantasies with a 360-degree penthouse view of Downtown Milwaukee. Vibrant summer fashion is central to the party and neon clothes with white accents are encouraged, popping under the black lights while DJ Gemini Gilly gets the party going.
The Give Back @ Juneteenth

This city celebration is focused on remembering the past but looking toward the future. The holiday event includes a parade followed by drinks, food and live music. Volunteer four-hour shifts can be picked up and are encouraged; for more information, visit Social X's website.
