The "Social Circle" is a group effort between readers, social networkers and the OnMilwaukee.com editors. Every Monday, we ask a question via Facebook and Twitter and then post the responses from our Facebook "likers" and Twitter followers in this column. Well-known Milwaukee movers and shakers will contribute, too.

There seems to be a lot of complaining on social media about the un-summery summer weather this year, but many members of the Social Circle are quite fond of it. But not everyone, of course.

What do you think about the cooler temperatures and large amounts of rain this season?

Barbara Aho: "No wasps!"

Josh Christiansen: "My utilities got up to $380 in the winter months, they've been $65-$75 recently. By mid-July I'd be OK with paying for a little A/C, though."

Debbie Dean: "I got nothing."

Matthew George: "The weather will be what it will be, get out and get some of it, chilled or not."

Bill Hartz: "I'm OK with the cool, I just wish the rain would let up."

Betsy Holmes: "Oh, please. after the winter we just went through? THAT was cold. As hell. THIS is heaven. Gratitude, people!"

Damien Jaques: "Keeps the palm trees and alligators away."

Paul Jonas: "County golf courses, mostly un-irrigated, are in great shape. Less bugs too."

Paul Kennedy: "Teenage boys pulling their pants up."

Kent Knapp: "Been great for working in the blacksmith shop."

John Kowalcyzk: "I am working on some murals this month, one outside the public market and one in Mitchell Park and it is nice to be outside working with out dripping sweat all over the art!"

Lisa Malmarowski: "Yes, I can pretend I actually do live in the Pacific Northwest. Loving it."

Hannah Medrow: "I'm not particularly homicidal feeling, so that has to count for something."

Dave Mikolajek: "I can ride my bicycle to work if I chose with out even working up a sweat."

Samantha Rebro: "Perfect for bonfires."

Paul Schmitz: "I love it beside the rain. Hate hot summers and will take comfortable 60s and 70s any day over sweaty, muggy, sticky 80s and 90s any day. Was in DC this week in 90s and don't miss that at all."

Jen Skladanek: "Not having to run an air conditioner – saves energy and money. I am not a fan of sweltering temps so it's not that bad to me but less rain and more sunny days would be nice! Good sleeping weather, too."

Michelle Spack Westrich: "Less sweating during exercise. More restful sleep. More reasons to stay in at night and be cozy. Cocoa still optional."

Lauryl Sulfate: "I love fall, so I’m pretty jazzed."

Laron Taylor: "My chest hair is growing."

Andie Zacher: "Perfect sleeping weather! Hair isn't frizzy! Ankles not swollen! It's all good!"

Patty Zastrow-Jankowski: "I hate it! But on the positive side I can run the oven without everyone dropping dead of heat exhaustion and my dog seems to like it."

William Zuback: "Hoodies, my favorite article of clothing."
